A Christian celebration of the day that the Three Wise Men are said to have visited the baby Jesus in the stable and he was 'shown' to the world.
The significance in the story of the visit and showing Christ to the world, is in the fact that the Magi represented the wider world outside Judaism, a world which the prophets had dreamt would be drawn to the ‘new light’ in Israel.
