   We are using e profile for the first time at school and have some concerns and questions. Our IT coordinator chose to install the profile on our school network, which we advised him against having read the guidelines. This meant that we could only work on the profile in school. I grumbled loudly and 3 laptops were purscased fro our 3 Reception teachers. Since then I have loaded the profile onto a memory stick and transferred it to my laptop for home use. I've been working on my laptop over half-term holiday. Will I be able to tranfer my data back to the school system next week using my pendrive or will there be a problem with others working on the profile and wanting to …

   Annual Reports To Parents From Eprofiles

   The eprofile generates a large amount of text (SS and ELGs achieved by the child) for the end of year report. This, together with the teacher's comments, looks dense and rather daunting when printed. Can the amount of text be reduced so that the report is still sufficiently comprehensive and informative for parents?

   Hi I'm just putting first assessments into the e profile cohort 2004 and cannot make the dates change to Aut 04 A and 04 B . Am I being thick ? Has someone else managed to reset it in some way or is there a glitch on it ? PLease help

   Hi there We've been using the eprofile since it came out and now we want to make it more useful in the classroom each half term. After printing off lasts years overview grids for each area of learning for Year 1 I came up with a system which makes the eprofile more useful for us in our setting. If you are like me and using the group assessment grid a lot (the one where you can flood fill) I wondered why on earth there was a big space to the right of it... surely it was crying out to have the scale points inserted here rather than relying on clicking each point for the scale to be appear at the bottom in very small print!    We're starting to panic at our school about whether the E-Profile will work and produce the data required by the LEA - ours has to be in on Monday 5th! As far as we know we've done everything correct but haven't yet tried to export the files it can't be done until all ticks and comments are input. Just wondering if anyone here has done it yet...and has it worked? I've got visions of us saving all the data on disc, giving it to our secretary to send off to county and finding that her computer won't read it! Thanks, a worried Jess!

   I'm not sure how many counties have taken up the electronic profile which, I think, originated in Suffolk. We've decided to use it and want to be able to drop photos into it as evidence of some of the ELG's. As yet, I haven't been able to find a way of doing this which is very annoying! Looks like we'll be printing out, cutting and sticking instead......unless anyone here has found a way of doing it. Copying and pasting doesn't work
