Following the success of last years world record attempt, this years campaign , 'Stand up speak out' which ended yesterday was even more successful. 38 million people 'stood up' world wide to put an end to poverty. You can read about it here If you were one of them, then well done!!

First and foremost if you have arrived here to join in the 'make a stand' event then please pop along here make a stand NOW Had I been marginally more organised, Id have started this off at the same time, aplogies for the delay. This thread is for anyone who wishes to cooment on, debate, find out more, ask questiosn etc about the make a stand campaign. If you are running an event in your setting, otr you have taken photos of yourselves standing up here in FSF land, then please add them, here!! More the merrier thats what I say. Hi everyone, welcome to the Foundation Stage Forum ‘online’ stand up against poverty as part of the World Record attempt to get as many people across the world as possible to ‘stand up against poverty' at the same time. We are officially registered for this event. It would be fantastic to see as many members and visitors as possible join in. Well only 2 weeks later than I intended to be, we are now half way through the month of action against poverty. The event is marked in the calendar but since some blip in the software doesnt allow this to be seen from the front page, I shall repeat what is said here. As many of you took part, in one repsect or another, in the make Poverty History Campaign, in 2005, the fight continues. This month is the 'stand up against poverty' month of action. Hi Folks The Foundation Stage Forum is now offically registered to take part in the World Record attempt 'Stand up against Poverty' The record attempt will take place from 11am on Sunday 15th October until 11 am Monday 16th October. The idea is that people all over the world will join in to 'make a stand' to combat poverty, to remind our G8 leader of their promises made last year, to continue to move towards making poverty history.
