Hello all I am a new CCT and looking to prove my worth in my new role (Started Jan 09!) The fabuluous Family Support Team run the Young Parents and PEEP sessions at our CC. The team asked me if I could think of ways to link their sessions with the EYFS. I thought I could support them to write Continous Provision Posters for the activities they regularly do and perhaps encouarge them to ask parents what Enhanced/ additions they would like for the following week... What do you think? I don't really feel they need me to run groups as they are fantastic and have great relationships built up with parents but anymore suggestions would be appreciated x …

I have just returned from a two day PEEP training course in Oxford so that we can develop our provision of PEEP groups at our Centre. For those of you who haven't come across it before, PEEP is an early learning intervention programme, first developed and piloted in 1995 in a disadvantaged area of Oxford, with the aim of contributing towards improving the life chances of children. The framework of the programme is based on the implications of research findings - that the first years of a child's life are crucial for later development and that the key role of adults who care for the child during those years must be affirmed and supported. It supports parents and carers…

when children are left in a creche on the first day we ask parents to fill in a membership form and registration form. it is 2 pages long, asking about contact details, general info about the child, photo consent, medical consent. we however find if it is a one off creche this form is quiet lenghtly. (i will have to remember to send myself and example of ours to post on here). i was wondering what info you ask your parents.

I am trying to improve practice in the creches at our centre and wondered if anyone has any examples of planning for the sessions. Most children come to us maybe 1 or 2 times per week and are only with us for about 2-3 hours for the session. We don't know how many will turn up each week - and they range in age from 3 months to 3 years in small numbers of 3 to 6. Any ideas?

Hi Wolfie just wondered if you could give me a bit of advice. I have just this week started as a CC teacher who is also pt in the attached nursery school. HT has said that I am only to be responsible for learning and development of corporate priority children at cc, but cc manager says I am responsible for all of the children who attend the centre at any time. Who is right as the difference is about 30 children's worth! Thanks
