   Just wanted to ask those of you who are teachers. Are you still on teachers pay and conditions and if so how many weeks holiday do you get and if you are on leadership is this affected?

   I've just been browsing the training section on the Early Excellence Centre's website - there's a couple of really good courses running for teachers in Children's Centres this term - http://www.earlyexcellence.com/downloads/j..._autumn07.pdfng Has anyone booked a place on any of them?    Hello all I have just got a letter saying i have been invited for interview as Day Care Manager for over 3's in a Children's Centre. I have to give a presentation (!), and was just looking for a few suggestions... The topic is... In your role of Day care Manager, what would be your priority in the first 6 months of taking up the post? I have a few ideas on what to say but the presentatin is 10 minutes and am a bit stalled! any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Lyndsey

   I'm a teacher in a Children's Centre, employed on teachers' pay and conditions - I'm just wondering whether that is the norm for this post or whether others out there are employed on Soulbury instead? Although I have thoroughly enjoyed having the six week summer break, it has left me feeling slightly "out of things" at the Centre and it has meant that projects I was working on at the end of the summer term have all had to be put on hold, which in turn means we've lost momentum with them somewhat. What do others do and think and what do you think are the advantages/disadvantages of the way in which you are employed?

   Hi there! I have used this website before, but under my old job title as a FS teacher in a Primary School! However, this week I started my new job as a 'support teacher' in a children's centre! It is extremely exciting, however I would like to see who else out there is doing my job too! I would like to hear back from people who are working in the same way as me, as I have lots of questions to ask about how they organise their week etc?! Thanks! Matt
