Hi I was just wondering if you do a transition report for children going in to a nursery? I have two three year olds who will start in nursery for the funded place from the autumn and was wondering what you would put in to the report and if you have done one in the past, how was it received? Thanks Hx

Hi, I have my 1st initial OFSTED inspection tomorrow morning! and I'm not sure if i've carried out my risk assessment for my house correctly. I've put most of the things down in my house as a risk! What I'm unsure about is, do things like windows need to go down on it even if they are always locked same with external doors? Also I have a fire in the lounge but because we have converted our garage into a play room i wont need to use the fire during the day when the children are here so does that still need to go on my risk assessment? Also things like my tv stand and sofa's are they a risk? The only time the lounge, kitchen or stairs will be used is when the chi…

I have a good selection of plastic food and tea sets, and 'kitchen items'. I know there has been quite a lot of discussion before about real food vs plastic and real kitchen items vs plastic, but I am considering getting rid of most of the plastic stuff in favour of a nice little ceramic tea set, the likes of which I had as a child. Also saw a 'real, grown up' set in a charity shop the other day which made me wonder. The issues I wonder about are mainly about safety of using a product that might break leaving cutting edges, but I feel that the plastic items just don't warrant respect from the children. It ends up in the sand and water and slotted down between deck…

Hi, its my first time on here and feel I could be here all night reading all the topics. lol. dont think my other half is too impressed. I've only been minding for 5 weeks and only have 1 boy on a Friday at the moment. His Mum and Dad have split up and have 50/50 parental responsiblity. My contract for Friday is with Mum and she has signed all permission slips etc. She asked me last Friday if I could have the boy on Tuesday for his Dad as he was struggling to get childcare. I agreed and have since wondered if I ought to do a contract and permission slips for the Dad to sign? He may require me again in the holidays. He did pay for his day so if my contract is with the…
