Hiya, Ive found a great all in one guideline available from Leicestershire council called Progress from the start. The documents are downloadable but I wanted a copy of the CD-rom which goes with it. They want £15 to send the package to me and I was wondering if anyone had already got the package free (within Leicestershire of course) to save me the obvious!! Please dont take offence at my cost saving but my LEA is really stingy. Many thanks

Hi its day 1 of the Easter hols here and I have a 10 year old and I am running out of ideas for him to do. He spends most of his time at home on his Wii or watching tv. He has brought his DS to the setting but I am trying to keep him away from it. He is at the age where he thinks he can stay home he told his mum this morning that he didn't want to come while his mum worked. Any ideas would be appreciated I have all the usual stuff lego, board games, craft etc. We go on trips to the local park and have cooking activities planned. He attends with his 2 siblings. Tink69

Hi, I'm trying to find a fun training session that (might!!!) make childminders want to come out on a Saturday in order to get bodies to a Childminding Group AGM. In the past we have tried offering training, but ran out of money (and support) to fund it. We have a little bit in the bank now and people have suggested putting on fun training as an incentve - but I can't think of anything that has really motivated me lately! Has anyone had a trainier that was really motivational but not really hard going? I attended some amazing lectures on my Foundation Degree, but am positive that they would not motivate people to come to an AGM (except me obviously, but I'm not enough…

Can anyone tell me exactly what is involved when you are accredited please? Our network has been given CCF approval and the coordinator is wanting to be up and running by Sept. So is it extra paperwork, separate planning, more detailed obs, ticking of on sheets etc? i know you have to go though assessments etc. What about Ofsted inspections - is a a different or extra inspection? Thank you in advance

Hi I am curious to what other childminders charge for school children in the holidays, I am trying to think ahead for the summer holidays as have been told my local cc may be using childminders instead of putting on a holiday scheme. Tink69
