Hi, just wondered how everyone records that they are checking sleeping babies/children. I thought using a monitor would be enough but my network coordinator says visual checks every 10mins. What is everyone else doing?

Hi there i went on my EYFS training in sept and have since made up themes for each month (long term planning) to follow such as Autumn and all about me etc covering the festivals as well so each week i plan activities around the months theme (short term planning). However on the course we were shown long term planning:continuous provision sheets to be done as bank cards. Not sure if anyone else has recieved the same training etc but they are to cover the things we do all the time such as snack time etc. They gave us an example and we sat in groups and completed another area together. The idea was that we would all share the cards as these are the same for everyone but due…

Hello. How do you go about getting parental feedback? I want to compile some info, for future use as I shall be in a different county when I start working again next year. Also as a tool for ofsed to see how the parents feel about the care I provide for their children, along with their views on me from a parental perspective? I have thought about a questionnaire style document but am struggling as to what to put in it? Also a reference letter that I could file with permissions from the parents as we terminate contracts! Any ideas would be gratefully received. Jo

Hi there This is my first post so sorry if its a bit muddled I didnt see the artcile as i have been told it was on v early on fri 17th Oct. I tried to find it on thier websit but with no success, could anyone help, or let me know what was said. In my area BANES there are some who have given up laready, some who are totally out of thier depth with getting all the paperwork together.Then others like me who are muddling along, feeling the job is now one of evidencing everything, not being with the children and enjoying them teaching them in a home environemnt as we do things.
