Hi i am a new member so just wanted to say hi and that what a great forum. I am looking to share info with other registered childminders especially accredited ones on how they use the steppping stones and birth to 3 matters. Am i the only one who feels bogged down with loads of paperwork????

I may have missed it and sorry if I have but I wondered if the other childminders on here would be 'up' for sharing paperwork. I work as a childminder and as supervisor of a preschool adn have found the attachments from other practitioners to be priceless! I have just had a good Ofsted and am happy to share my own policies etc. What prompted this is we have a child temporarily at the moment who is being 'paid for' by Sure Start and I am composing an invoice. It occured to me that it would be great to have things like this ready to use!! Just a thought...

I`m looking for some ideas for the children i mind. it is their last day with me on thursday as i start a new job on monday termtime only . they will be coming back to me during holidays so i want to make a scrap book maybe? with some of the things that what we have done and will do again. you guys have some lovely ideas,so have you got any on how i can make this book fun to make but also to keep! i`m feeling quite guilty as i know this will be an upsetting time for them. i just want them to know that i`ve not disappeared. thanks maddy.

hi, i`m in need of some indoor activites for a varied age range(1.5 to 8). mainly to keep the boys from bouncing off the walls! we raided asda for ten cardboard boxes today but i don`t think they will last all week. ithought about a easter egg hunt tomorrow, i just need something that i haven`t done with them before! i really hope it stops raining soon! thanks maddy

i am actually posting this on behalf of a good friend of mine ( no really!!!). She has been a rcm for years and has had a wide variety of children. However one toddler who she has been looking after has been showing some developmental difficulties for about 6 months, which have been becoming progressively more noticable. Together we sat down and noted down any observations that we thought to be significant. I then discussed these with my SENCO co-ordiator in school.
