Hi guys, I'm really struggling with an answer for unit 2. I could really use some help!! Its a 'C' criteria so worth 10 marks! The question is; "Explain how theoretical perspectives of child development support your suggestions for progressing the observed child’s development" My tutor told me to choose 5 activities which were NOT adult led, and that covered the 5 areas of development, so my My suggestions were;1) Physical - Outdoors equipment/obstacle course, 2)Social - Role play 3)Intellectual - Water play 4)Communication - Providing tape recorders or different types of writing equipment (chalks, charcoalsetc), and 5) Emotional - Puppets I'm was not entirely …

I just heard today that I have passed my maths equivalency test at the university. I was told prior to taking it that it's not easy to pass it first time, and as I have a morbid dread of maths, I was terrified of doing it.On the day, we were sited over a music class,so all the way through the first two hour paper, we had to endure someone practcing on their drums! second two hour paper, we had someone outsid ethe classroom drilling and banging as they repaired a staircase! Then, the fire alarm went off unexpectedly.....twice! I was convinced........I KNEW. I had failed, some of the questions I hadn't a clue about...and yet...............today I had the official letter to…

Hi guys, Need help!! I've done my observations for the assignment, written up my profile, answered the required questions but when it comes to filling in the information describing the observation technique etc, I am stuck on answering which factors may have affected validity! My first observation is narrative and on physical skills (ie fine motor, hand dominance etc) and I have answered that the validity factors could include my own influence (if the child was aware she was being watched) and the fact that it is difficult to include everything in this type of obs. (unless anyone has any better ideas.) My second observation is a target child focusing on social…

Hi all, I need help with my assignment, I have to identify four ways (in 500 words) in which my observations and assessments of one child will contribute to meeting the childs individual needs. The problem is the child i chose to observe is a very capable child and meets all developmental needs if not exceeds most of them, so I am struggling to find enough to write about. Obviously if she was below average then I could write about planning activities to improve in her weaker areas, but she doesn't have many so I am struggling to find four things to write about (and in so many words). I don't have time to observe a different child unfortunately and I'm a b…

Hi this is my first post, and im wondering if anyone can help me over complete brain block that i have right now. I have completed my four observations with their aims. Now question E4 is this... demonstrate how the observed development of the child relates to developmental norms. Do i disregard the aim of observation and go through all the developmental norms that she has achieved or do i just go through for instance, one observation is on physical... so would i just explain the physical? another observation set out to discover her language..... ive just had three snowed in days and ive been on a roll and i think im just thinking about it too much to concentrate!! th…
