   Which Teaching Union?

   Just trying to decide which teacing union to go with- any advise on NASWUT or NUT or other? All seem pretty similar bar a £20 difference. Any advise would be more than welcome. I am thinking ahead to the changes in hours for maintained nurseries (more hours no extra pay) and wondered if anyone has heard if these unions will be doing anything about it- this would help me make a decsion. Thought I would ask here before going to the unions direct as both will want to take my money!

   Hi to all, I'm afraid to say i'm a first timer to this site, but what a relief to find people studying similar courses. I've just enrolled for the diploma in pre school practice and have actually only just received all my course materials, so I've not even started my first assignment yet. I have to say that after reading through everything I'm finding it very daunting already!!! Is there anyone out there doing the same course that would like a study buddy to help encourage each other along the way? It would be great to hear from anyone who could offer any help or support?    Hi all, I hope someone can help me, I am currently doing my observations for unit 1 of the dpp, and I am struggling to find an aim for them. My first observation is going to be something to do with fine motor skills/ hand dominance (I just need to find a way to word this!), but I can't think of a second aim. My next choice would have been something to do with language but the problem is I work in a British school in Spain and all the children in my class are Spanish. While they are learning English they only speak a few basic words so far and therefore always talk in Spanish. I do speak Spanish but I am by no means bilingual so while I have been translati…

   Hi all, Just trying to add some lovely finishing touches to my dpp planning assignment that I must post by tomorow otherwise I will miss the submission deadline. I have been searching for the past two days for some research that supports the idea of individual planning for every child. I've been through EYFS, ECM, KEEP as well as google and maybe I am being a bit thick or brain fried, or just looking in the wrong place but I cant find anything and it is bugging me.    hi just read your post i'm currently half way through core unit 1 answering B grade.The tutor has asked to conclude mentioning why it is important to build up an individual profile for each child through observing and assessing.Im quite happy with what i've put to answer the question but stuck on how to conclude,basically i think i need to put what the outcome would be for children if we didnt observe,assess and plan. any ideas thanks

   I am struggling a bit with this one so if anyone could help that would be great. I have done 3 weeks curriculum plan and linked it to my child profile. I have been told by my tutor that I have to do SPIEL headings for section E5 and then link back to EYFS curriculum for E6. What I am know confused about is this, I have 5 experiences, 1 to promote each SPIEL heading, when I link it to the curriculum framework do I need to link it to each of the 6 areas of learning or just the area I have planned for the activity to promote. e.g I have planned an assault course to promote physical development, do I just link this to ELG's for PD or do I go on and say how it impacts on E…
