Help With Understanding Question

The effectiveness of your own practice in making the pre-school setting a supportive environment That is the question. So looking at areas of health/safety, emotional needs, inclusion, physical needs, safeguarding and not really sure how to go about putting it. Got that I am aware of policies/procdures etc but not got much experince as not come across safegurading issues much inclusion etc. Think I dont really know what they are after..."effectiveness"...how do i measure myself for this? This is the last question and its for the external assignment so there is no guidance! o looking for some from you! What do you think eh???

Hello Can any body please help me to decide what to do next??????/ I have my level 3 and was going to do the NVQ level4 but have been told by the local collage that as the NVQ structure is changing again they will only offer the foundation degree . I am abit gutted as I as am not sure i an up to the degree level. I have tried the first year a few years ago and hated it. The universirty I went to did not give alot of help and i struggled to write in the academic style. I was working 12 hours shifts at the time so had to give up to ill health. Just had to tell someone as part of my 3rd year modules (for the BA) I submitted an assignment focussing on Yoga in education (early years) - well the tutor has just emailed me to say not only did I get a first class for it but they want to publish the research!! i am so excited, I had my friends funeral yesterday which was horrendous :wacko: and today i feel elated about this opportunity....I am awaiting a call from an editor and a possible chance to use the assignment to promote Yoga in schools using my research as a bid for funding Scarey when you have mixed emotions though - need to go and get a cup of tea and do some nice breathing!

Hi Everyone I am new to this forum and joined with the view of gaining some knowledge for my dissertation, which i am seriously behind on due to ill health. My aim is to examine the transition between reception to year 1 and the part play plays during this process. I have to say I am am bit unsure of which direction to take it in as you can probably tell from the wording of my aim, basically i want to look at how going from such a play based enviroment to national curriculum effects the child, and how its important to still carry and element of play over to reception. Ok need some advice! About half way through the course (its a learn at home course). Completed 2 out of 4 units (graded C and B from tutor but need official marks from CACHE). Halfway through unit 3 which is CACHE marked not tutor marked. Deadline sept, marked oct and result out mid december. Final unit i can either go for submit to tutor 1 Aug official mark from CACHE mid nov and therefor should complete course by end of year OR submit next date of 1 Dec results April 2010 a year from now! hello, I have devised a routine for the Pre-school, room.I feel it will be beneficial in order to get jobs done also ie register and also for children to have a structure to the day and also in order to get all activities included.I have included the nursery routines and activities which occur.I feel their is a balance between child initiated activities and adult initiated and directed .I hope you can give me some feedback beforeI show the manger tomorrow thanks! Ok I have a first degree (in an unrelated subject but I enjoyed it at the time), a level 3 DPP and my EYP status, so where do I go from here? I need to allocate a pot of money from GLF in order to claim the full amount our setting is entitled to and the only way in which I can think to do it is to decide on a further training path which will cost! It's really sad because there is so much I could spend £2000 on in the setting otherwise, but it is constrained by the rules. So does anyone have any suggestions?
