Please help I am currently on a 1 year contract in a Reception class, my contract ends in September and school as yet do not know whether to renew it due to pupil numbers. I have just been rung to say that i have an interview for another Reception class for a year starting Septmber. My only problem is if i dont know which one to take, if i get offered the other post, would it be better for me to do another year at my current school (which doesnt use national stratergies but SFA) or change schools for a different experience and use of the national stratergies Any ideas I know this probably doesnt make sence but im excited confused and nervous all at once Thanks CAt

As part of our accreditation scheme we have been looking at scaffolding children's learning. Trouble is most of us are a bit vague about exactly what this means. Where can I find out more? Can anyone give any examples? Thanks Al

Hi Need some ideas and advice. We have a little girl who has recently returned to living with her mum (along with brother/ sister 3-5) after 5 months with a foster carer. Her apperarnce is beginning to go down hill (dirty, shabby clothes, levels of cleanliness etc), frequently does not want to go home with mum at the end of the session (although this is lessening). Just some background. This half term she has started to take items belonging to other children (hair bands etc, pictures made in class that she has taken from the going home box, frequent claims that items belong to her). We now ask mum if these belong to her and mum either doesn't know or says no.…

Helo all, Toddleo again on her fave subject! Just wanted to share my joy with you guys (specially Rea and Pandamonium) that I got my Observation module marked and found out that I PASSED great, really chuffed, so that't two done two to go! Have just finished my best practice one, and am typing it up now. Which leaves the dreaded choice Babies or Community dev....I know, we talked about this before, but I think that I have decided to go for thebabies!, so many people say it's the easier (but dull one!), so if you feel helpful again Pandamonium, you can dust it down and let me have a look at your "award winning"baby assignment, I would appreciate a look to see what…

Hello everyone. I am just starting my third assignment on the DPP. "Best practice in pre school settings" Have decided to do the Parental partnership one, this is a general query to any other DPP'ers out there! 1)did you do this assignement and find it easy -ish!, any tips? 2)and secondly thinking about the next assigment, did anybody do the one on Community development, it seems that most people seem to plump for the on one "the first year of life", and I wondered why (perhaps it's just because everyone loves babies!! Any feedback would be appreciated

Help advice on npqh I'm up early again to have another session with the form! Is there anyone out there who is doing npqh? I have spent the last 2 days filling in the forms and finding them tough going. Can I use the same evidence for the different sections? Tired Tinkerbell
