Hi I am really interested in doing a masters in Early Childhood Education and was wondering if anyone is currently doing this or has recently completed one? I am in the very early stages of researching courses and was interested to know how realistic it is to be working full time balanced with studying. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone, would like some advice please. I have decided i would like to further my knowledge in early years after recently being promoted to deputy at my Pre-school. I currently hold my NVQ Level 3 in early years care and education and want to do further training. I have looked at lots and lots of information, but there are so many courses and qualifications that i dont know what to do  !! I am prepared to study hard, but as a single parent working 3 days a week i am struggling to find any courses to access on my days off and cant do evenings because of my children. I have looked at the open University course, but again, i am lost in all the cho…

Hi looking for advice. I am the registered provider of a village setting and two of my staff are 'thinking ' about 'following the EYP pathway'. We are all currently level 3 however they have degrees in unrelated subjects so apparently it will take just one year?! Can anyoune tell me their honest thoughts on the pros and cons of this status. I appreciate as self development it is a good thing but how would it generally effect the setting? I have heard so many conflicting thoughts so not sure how supportive I need/ should be!! ? Theres a huge push in our LEA for people to go along to meetings about it at the moment, though I also understand its not considered neces…

I'm considering doing this course, is anyone else registered or is there anyone out there who has done it and can give me some thoughts on it? It's the assignments every 3 weeks I'm more worried about - that seems a lot of work

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while but as ever am hoping for some advice from you There is a possibility I may be able to do my Masters in September, but there are a number of things swaying me this way and that. Firstly, what will my career options be with a Masters, will they be any better than they are now with my BA and EYPs? Have any of you completed one or are currently working through one? Is it doable when managing a setting and family? My son is planning a gap year next year so financially there'll be a big strain on the family income already (I'm a single mum of 2) A family have offered to sponsor me to do the Masters but I'd have to go down…

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice or share their experience with me. I am a primary teacher and been in the same nursery class of a large first school for the last 7 years. I have come to the point that I want to extend my expertise in the early years. I am thinking of ways/courses that I could that. Or is it a case that I need to move out of nursery?! Anyway if anyone could suggest any courses etc that focus on the Early Years I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance

by Guest- 2 replies

Can anyone help? I'm almost finished this unit but am having a mental block on question 'C'. " Explain how to use profiles of pre-school childrens progress to provide a differentiated curriculum" I´ve talked about using the information gathered in profiles to get an overview of the individual child which will lead to planning for the diverse needs of the whole group, and the reasons it is important for the child to have a differentiated curriculum I´ve now just read question 'B' which is "Analyse the importance of planning for all children" I've covered this a lot i question C so I´m gonna have to edit a lot of my answer from question C and put it into…
