Hello! It's been a while since i had time to come on here but in my hour of need i hope someone is around to help!! I have a challenge area in my nursery where each week i set a challenge for the children, un-topic related but one that relates to some sort of learning intention. I need a new one for next week and i just cant seem to think of one! Has anyone got a similar area …

Therefore, I have been looking towards the Flying Start grids (combination of stepping stones and EYFSP) for next steps, as this gives me an idea of where to go next and there is pressure from LEA to raise standar…

Hi Everyone I am currently doing my PGCE course and I am based in a Nursery which is completely play based. In my previous setting while 90% was play once a day they would complete a small group activity, so going into the course I had this in mind. OK my problem is I have 2 complete 2 English 2 Maths 1 Science and 1 ICT plan per week. However, I just don’t see where or how I am going to do it, especially with regards to English as they have no alphabet system (such as letter land) what so ever. All of the play areas stay the same as they believe it’s important for the child to have continuity, so apart from putting objects in the sand I am lost what my options a…

Good Morning My Manager has asked me to come up with a daily record form to inform parents what our preschool children have been up to... I need to come up with something that is informative to parents but not hugely time consuming... Does anyone use anything like this for preschoolers in sessional care... I have searched the forum at length but can't find anything Thank you in anticipation x Carla
