I've been put in charge of a grant of £400 to buy resources for our ICT and KUW area. I have a few ideas of what to buy, but they are the usual roamers, walkie talkies, microphones etc. Does anyone have anything techie you use with your kids that get them investigating and talking?

I was just wondering how many learning intentions do you do for the day? we do them for children who we have observed and their next steps but do you need to do them for every area of the setting ie mats roleplay ect... Do we have to justify why certain stuff are out? sorry for my confusion!!! hope you get the question.

Hello all, I need some help please. In the baby room we have babies from 8 months to almost 2. The twos should really be moving to the toddlers room, but we have no space left and if they all go, the baby's room will practically be empty. With planning how can we plan for this age groups, should we have two planning sheets, or one. We obviously observe and plan, but sometimes the activities just need to be more challenging for the almost twos. Thanks

Hi everyone. I would like your opinions please! I have have been playleader for a few weeks now and want to minimise the plans that have been used. On the EYFS cd they have a weekly plan grid with the six areas down the left and development matters, activity, adult role and resources along the top. Is this instead of writing a separate Focused activity which is what I have been doing? What do I do when staff want to plan an activity if the weeks plans are on one sheet? Is the information enough ( im happy but is Ofsted!? although on EYFS Cd). Development matters is the objective - so important and the activity - what your doing. Evaluation on back. Is this suffic…

Hi all, I can't believe how quickly the first few weeks back at school have gone and already I am feeling overwhelmed at everything that needs to be done. I have one more term as an NQT (hooray) and just started in a new school and new phase...Nursery! I am loving it but all seems a bit muddly. Can anyone suggest a good way of managing and keeping records of children's learning please? I hate post its and am trialling something else from next week. How does everyone transfer that to relate to Development Matters and keep track? Feel exhausted thinking about it! Sorry to be so 'sad' this early on a weekend but it is driving me mad and all I think of. Any ideas anyone pleas…

This is such a silly question but hey - it's been a long day..... and I know there will be some great suggestions out there... What do you say to those children who persistently pester you to have a sticker because:- I ate my lunch I picked up one toy I had a wee I'm lovely (yes I have had this) I feel like to big bad witch everyone time I say no but I think if detracts from the purpose if you just hand them out willy nilly. Any suggestions? Cheers,
