Hi, Does anyone have an individual planning sheet they would be willing to share please? At the moment all the children in our setting have their own scrapbooks that contain photos, "work", wow moments and also half termly we do an in depth observation that we then do a personalised plan from which we will then use for the rest of the half term. The thing is, the planning sheets we currently use were devised by the previous supervisor and everyone is struggling with filling them in, none of us have had any eyfs training apart from the "introduction to eyfs" or whatever it was called lol - this is due to lack of training spaces not laziness lol. If I can figure out…

I have recently read the mindstretchers talking and thinking floorbooks and i am interested in using this topic for my research project for my BA. My hope is that i can implement this way of consulting children in planning within my setting. Does anyone use this approach or something similar, i would really be interested in hearing about your experiences. Many thanks jojom

Does anyone have a recent pre-school assistant job description that I could look at for inspiration? Our computer's crashed, my memory stick is still 'in a safe place' and couldn't find any hard copies at work which would have to be updated anyway. One of our ladies needs a job description for her NVQ by Wednesday, so really need to sort one out today to give to her tomorrow. Any help gratefully received, Karrie

I have been told by my area adviser that I need to do 3 Adult focused observations per week. Which I understand. I have taken my observations from the previous week and Keyworker and parents notes/comments, and identified 3 children that would benefit from further help. First child - parent informs us that he does not like to write or colour in at home. We have also noticed that when we encourage him to write his name he always asks the staff to do it for him. We have tried by doing his name in dots and he to write over them, but he will reluctantly write over first letter and then stops. How do I put this in to a Adult focused observation? Second child - doe…
