Hi, I have seen other settings use a sheet in their All About Me booklet which summarises parts of the EYFS, 'I can play alongside others' etc. I was wondering if anyone else does this and if so do they have a template for this? Thank you

Hi, Just wondering how many meetings others settings have with parents during the academic year and how many target sheets you share? Do you do action plans or is this something that a childminder is more likely to do? Thanks Green Hippo x

Hi all, We have recently started to use Tapestry. We were wondering what other settings do, do you still print it off and keep it in a file for the child or is it all online? All of our parents have Internet access so can access it but we're unsure as to whether or not we still need to have a hard copy. Hope someone can help with this!

Hi, we've been asked to do ECAT assessments on Tapestry to support our children with additional needs in CL. As far as I've been able to see so far, the ECAT categories seem identical to CL on the EYFS. Is ECAT still currently relevant as an assessment tool? For example Are there areas where it targets specific language development aspects not covered by the EYFS (consonant sounds etc)? Or is is more about the supporting resources/materials/training? (we haven't gone into that aspect yet). Appreciate feedback from MKO's! (more knowledgable others ) Lisa x

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice from you wonderful, knowledgeable lot about a child who seems to have no concept of danger or personal safety. For example, we have a fence around our outside play area on a public playing field and despite constant reminders, he insists on putting his hands through to dogs people walk on the field, at home Mum told him not to touch the iron and when he asked why, said it was hot, upon which he promptly touched it, burning his fingers! If we ask him not to do something he will do it anyway - not with that quick look most children will do to see if we are watching, but just as if he hasn't heard - even if we've got right down to his leve…

Hello everyone, Anyone using a tool for completion of children's profiles and learning journeys which accommodates the Scottish curriculum? Basically I would be interested to hear about experience in using Tapestry or anything else in Scotland.... Thanks! Agnes.
