Hi All So i'm new to working with 2 year olds and feel ive planned as much as possible each term for the prime areas. Obviously i'm concentrating on those before thinking about moving onto specific. What sort of activities could you plan to support understanding and speaking? i've planned past few terms to do singing and stories and running out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of good examples/advice around learning journals. We do not use tapestry... We are still using 'journals'. I would like to know how other settings manage them and how much/what evidence they include. We are a large 78 place school nursery. Many Thanks

Hi all, please bear with me as I'm new on here. Would anyone have any ideas for a 10 minute outdoor activity. I have an interview for a nursery teacher and the brief is a 10 minute outdoor activity with lesson plan included. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. TIA Safiyya.

Dear Friends, We are a small, rural pre-school in Youlgrave Derbyshire. To help us to improve on our experience and understanding of diversity within our own culture we are looking to link up with another setting. We could share pictures and letters, send photographs of where we live: our setting and the children that attend. As we are a rural Pre-school we are looking for a setting that is perhaps in a city or town. It would be great if perhaps we could arrange a visit one day to experience the differences and similarities that we share. We look forward to making some new friends, Kind regards Lucy Burlinson (manager).

Hi we have been thinking of inviting parents in to stay for a morning with us to share what we do in a session. I wondered if anyone has done this before and how they prepared for it? I was thinking of having information in areas of the provision for parents to read what learning could take place. Thanks in advance
