Can anyone pls share their routines for children under 2? Also it has been suggested that we have continious provision for this age group, art sand water etc, can anyone share their thoughts on this and what you do in your settings, does it work, is it possible? We have enough trouble getting to grips with the continious provision for 2-3 years, all they want to do is empty the ALL and EVERY box we have! thanks sharon

Hi ~Everyone, I am studying for my EYITT. I have just started my first placement in a different setting to my own and am working in the baby room- (children aged 1-2). I would like to plan an activity based either on messy play or heuristic play and wondered how other people have found this sort or activity. Are there any ideas or resources which you have found work well. I am used to working with much older children so any ideas or advice gratefully received. Many thanks

I a wondering if anyone has written procedures for baby sleeping, feeding and changing nappies, that they would be willing to share. Ours were written a long time ago and we want to check we haven't missed anything. We will be very grateful for this help. :1b :1b :1b :1b :1b

I am looking for information for data analysis regarding the prime areas in under 2's using the system that incorporates cohort groups e.g. summer born etc. do we need to incorporate all seven areas of the EYFS for under 2's or just the prime areas as this is the main focus with all other aspects of our work?

Hey there!! Just wondering if anybody has any cool and just plain fun ideas or group activities that can be done with 2-3 year olds? or older and younger ones as well that i could think about adpating? anything the kids just LOVED to do? doesnt matter how messy or difficult, just want to bring a bit of fun to group activites rather than the same old circle games, parachute/aerobics type activties. starting to think that the box i usually think outside of...is shrinking every day P.S. have been searching through heaps of other posts and found one about shaving foam (or johnsons shapmoo) in a paddling pool and giving the kids paint...and no paper. just to get them to …

Can anyone help?? We have a large baby room 0-2years.....24 of the little lovelies to be exact  Our Learning Journey format is generic across the setting but our room planning is not.....which is why i need some of your wisdom. We do continuous provision enhancements and activity planners to support learning journeys as well as a shared interest project book in the over 2's rooms, but what should room planning look like in the under 2's?? At the minute we have an enhancement planner for the areas in the room, such as exploratory, heuristic, constuction etc. which relates to childrens interest, learning journey and L&D needs and then a key group obs…
