Does anybody have any documents/plans that show how the BTTM links to daily routines. What I mean is how some of the components etc can be linked to your every day routines. I'd be extreeeeeeemely grateful

I have been asked to co-ordinate BTTM in our mixed age setting and whilst I'm excited about the challenge, I also a little nervous, as I haven't worked with under 3's for some time! The pre-school has been open for a week now since the return from the summer holidays and we have had quite a few new children joining us. However, the staff team has been changed around a lot, with only one original member of staff still there. The rest of us are all new and are having to get to know each other, the routine of the pre-school and the all the children. As you can imagine, it is a bit of a difficult time for all of us! I have been reading through the forum and come up wi…

Basic Framework Training For Staff

I'm trying to put together a basic training package to introduce three members of staff to the Framework in a 90 minute training session. I've been on both a basic and follow up course myself and have some ideas about how to run it and some possible activities to help them become more familiar with the contents of the pack and be able to use the framework "language" but just wondered if anyone out there has done anything similar and can recommend any particular approaches or activities? I've downloaded the "Training of Trainers" resources from the Surestart website but some of that looks a bit too in depth for what is meant to be an introductory session!

Does anyone work in a setting where 0 to 2s are in the same room? Do you do separate plans for the 0 to 1s and the 1s to 2s, or is it all on one plan?

Please can you recommend your favourite books for children aged 0 to 3. The books in my nursery are few and far between, and the ones we do have are appalling. I've started a list of ones to get over time, but would welcome some recommendations.

Age Appropriate Reward Systems

Hi, it looks very much like I will be moving to our 1-2 yr room soon. Having always worked within the foundation stage and above, I kind of have some swotting to do!! One area I know I will be asked to tackle is the reward system in there at the moment. I need to find an age and developmentally appropriate reward system In preschool, I made individual sheets for the children and they would get a stamp or sticker on the sheet for personal achievements, of any description, not so much as a reward but for something they have been working towards. I would date it and write on the back what it was for so the parents could see also. For example, one little girl wo…

Does anyone have a copy of 'Making their day; providing for two year olds in a mixed age setting'? Is it worth getting? Are there any other BTTM publications that people can suggest?
