we currently have a water jug and tray of cups, this works sometimes -but some of the younger less able children are struggling to pour by themselves, then we have the problem of used cups being put back in with the clean cups. im not sure if we should continue with the cups and jugs -maybe put a picture up of clean and used cups so they know where each should be put (and the pouring will come with time) maybe ask the parents to send a water bottle in daily (and provide a bottle if none is sent in ) and hopefully each child will have a different bottle provide water bottles -but how to label each childs ? we cant afford to buy any type of dispenser. who knew drink…

Hi, im thinking about creating a baby led weaning display in the baby unit. Anybody done one ? I've downloaded some leaflets to display and will put up photos of the children doing 'BLW' and offer parents advice about what foods are best to start with.. Should i add anything else ? Thanks

Hi all I am looking for some inspiration and advice. I am the supervisor of a 15 place baby room that caters for 6 weeks to 2 years and am currently looking to develop an area in it into a black and white area for the younger children. I have books, fabrics, photographs and graphics on the walls, any other ideas suggestions would be very welcome

I am opening a baby room in September - we currently ask parents to complete a profile form before our older Nursery children start. Can anyone advise as to whether we should do this for the babies and suggestions on what questions to include in it I realise we should include feeding and nappy routines but don't want to miss anything! I have never taught letters and sounds in my life. I have the book but don't know where to start, I have always taught read,write, inc.
