Hi, Wondering if anyone can help me. I have been asked to do a long term plan to show how we cover the 16 commitments for our early years department (which ranges from 2 and half year olds to the end of Reception) one sheet of paper per commitment and circular planning. Does anyone else do this. Could you share an example of how you do this? Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi, I am planning the topic 'Australia' to do with my Reception class in the Summer term. As part of this, we will be doing an assembly for parents and I would love to find a good children's song either about, or from, Australia. I've been trawling the internet for ages but can't seem to find any! If anyone has any good suggestions i'd love to hear from you! Thanks

Hi everyone, Hope you can help!! Can you think of any more challenging or different role play areas for a large reception class? The large room holds two classes and is very boy heavy. They currently have a vets, a garage workshop, a space ship linked to the topic, a hairdressers and a kitchen. Some areas have been there far too long or are not always well resourced. Understandably the children do not use these areas well This is not where I work usually but I do cover and it's getting me down, any suggestions welcome and I'll pass them on

Mother's Day Inspiration!

has anyone got any lovely mother's day card and pressie ideas that they would be willing to share? I have done my old favourite for the last couple of years now and need some fresh ideas. My old favourite by the way in case it's useful for anyone was a teapot shaped card which the children decorated themselves and inside it said 'a lovely cup of tea for you on mother's day' and included a teabag. Thanks in advance for your suggestions Deb
