Hi all Need your expertise asap! I have a lesson observation by my head next week and she's coming in to see a Maths session with Reception (31 kids) but I'll have 2 Keyworkers in on that day. Need some great ideas on how to wow her! Any ideas would be gratefully received! Was thinking of small 10 min whole class activity then send chn off to variety of activities - 1 adult supported inside and 1 adult supported outside then activities children can access independently - the other free adult would float? A stressed and worried katiem xxx

Hi all, I need to do some more work on letter formation with my reception class, i am really against worksheets, so want to provide some sensory experiences that will help with their formation. Hello, I am trying to increase the amount of numeracy I have throughout the whole classroom, rather than just in the "numeracy" area. Does any one have any bright ideas for this? Was thinking of things like numbers for digging out in the sand tray etc, but then I draw a blank! Thanks in advance!

Phase 2 L&s Assessment

Hi We are coming to the end of Phase 2 letters and Sounds and just wondered how you assess each child. Do you do it on a 1:1 basis or in small groups and do you use a formal assessment sheet as a record. I am just concerned that with 30 children it could take more than a week to complete all the assessment tasks if done on a 1:1 and am worried about making it 'fun' and not like a formal test. Just wondered what format your assessments take Thanks Rach
