Tracking Fsp Term By Term
by Guest- 9 replies

hi I am a reception year teacher who has been assessing the results of the FSP and PIPS for this year and last year. Last year although my children were in a class setting they achieved good results and had made very good progress in both FSP and PIPS, this year having access to the whole foundation stage and joint planning by all members of the team and delivery to all children both results have been very poor both in performance and progress. Are there any tracking sheets out there that plot where a child should be in each area of the FSP relation to how long they have been in the fs? hope there is something out there!

Hi everyone I'm just starting to think about the practicalities of EYFS, thats among Open Evenings, reports, sport's day and all the other crazy things we all have to fit in at the end of the year! I just wondered if anyone had, or knew where I could find a definative list of policies required to cover the EYFS? Also are you guys adapting existing school policies to include EYFS requirements or writing seperate policies? Thanks Fluffychuffnuts xxx I have found this so far if its any help to you all. http://www.bradford.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/2C...entsSchools.pdf

My problem is that I then have 1 girl, so it is a tricky situation to enthuse all of them!! I am adopting learning walls, but need to set up my areas initially for the beginning of next term. Hi all, can someone clarify for me what are the ratios for teacher led activities/focus and child initiated activities, how much time should be spent on each? Do you feel it is possible to give equal cover to the 6 areas or are people still going to give extra time to Cll and Md? Trying to get my head around planning for September.

Hi everyone, I think I have made a drastic mistake!! Having read the new FS document, I was under the impression that as from next year (2008/09) the profile scores must be reported to parents. However, my TA who has a grandson in YR at another local school, came in yesterday and said that he had been given some "numbers" on his report - did I know what these were? I explained that they were probably the profile scores, and immediately began to panic. Should I have reported these to parents this year? Can someone shed some light on this for me please, because I was going to re-vamp the report format from next year to include the scores and some explanation. I am wr…

Hello, I hope someone can help. I have a new parent whose daughter will start as a 3 yr old in our Foudation Unit in September. She is deeply mistrustful of the benefits of 3-5 yr old working together. I thought I had convinced her on our home visit but yesterday wanted more evidence (not just my enthusiasm!) Are there any research projects, websites, books I can bombard her with. I've got some great stuff from articles on the forum but can any one point me in the direction of more. Our induction meeting is on Tuesday but I want her comvinced by MOnday! Many thanks Lucyd
