Hi, weve just had the dreaded phone call, they are coming next tues, & wed!!! Its just 1 inspector. I was just wondering if anyone had any good weekly plans for maths ( weight -heavy & light). & literacy Postman Pat- Also I wanted to put extra signs around the classroom & questions around the areas. Or any good websites to look at. Also, does anyone have any tips on when the inspector asks me questions about the FS. Lots of people are telling me different things &…

Planning

Hello! This is my first post on here so please forgive me if I either repeat what someone else has already written or start a new thread and then find the answers on the site somewhere! I am a Foundation Stage Manager in a Foundation Stage Unit where two classes work in one room with two teachers and a TA. Has anyone on here mastered this in their settings? Would you be willing to show me an example of the grids and an example of the Medium term plans so that I can compare them with what I have designed?! I …

Md Planning

I hope this doesn't upset anyone and that I'm allowed to name 'things' but I had a look at the Abacus numeracy plans for Reception and they're REALLY hard, I think. Now I'm worried that I'm making my MD whole class inputs too easy. However, I do plan from the ELGs, cross-referenced to the new numeracy framework. Does anyone know about Abacus/use it and do you think that it's set at about the right level (i.e. how we should all be working)?

Stepping Stones/elg's Long Term Planning Grid
by Guest bobby- 17 replies

Please can anyone help. Somewhere during the summer hols I downloaded[so i thought] a long term planning grid which we intend to use as our topic planning sheet. It had the ss's and elg's in a long list down the left of the page and 6 columns for the 6 half terms of the year. I felt really stupid when i logged on and only 1 page had been saved!! I had thought it a really good, clear sheet and promised it to plan with the Reception classes. I have searched everywhere and can't find it and have begun to type my own which is taking ages. Does anyone know where I might find it Thanks Thanksx
