Hi all, Just looking for some help as I am starting to think I am failing my kids. I am an NQT who took over a Reception Class in January and finding it really difficult to get my head around everything. There is no Nursery so have no one to plan with and for some reason I don't have one dedicated TA but 5 different ones at different time plus 2 people on work experience. No real structure was in place when I started and I have had little time with the FS Co-ordinator to work on a planning format so I have had to experiment and still not sure it works. OK guys, need some help here. am having frequent arguements with heads about baseline assessments in f1/f2 and what they can do. I resolutely stick to my guns and tell them they can assess against the stepping stones and then track through the FSCG, using the ss as a guideline but they all want NUMBERS!!!!! SO - the questions are - - do you use a commercial baseline system? If yes which one and do you think it is a) useful b ) accurate c) manageable d) what do you do with the data - do you use your own system? If yes same as above plus a) what do you base it on? (And pleeeeeease no P levels ) Thanks all Cx

Hi folks. We are currently thinking about changng the profrma we use to observe teachers in school (whether it be NQTs, performance managment or whatever) We currently have different proformas for different purposes but want to streamline these. Some of the samples we have looked at dont really suit FS. has anyone got a fromat that works well in school and suits FS that they would be happy to share? thanks
