Please please can anyone help .I am FS coordinator in a first schol and until this half term everyone levels one piece of chns writing against the P scales every half term.I know the P scales are not right for Reception so I have suggested we use the FS profile strand for writing to show where the children are .However of course the scales are not meant to be used to assess one piece of writing so it cant be used in the way the P scales are and the lit coordinator wants a numerical score that we can use to track progress across school.I feel like Im going around in circles and even though Ive been doing this job for 25 years Im beginning to doubt myself.Would anyone be w…

How on earth do you do a medium term plan for early learning goals, such as' continue to be interested, excited and motivated to learn'. Don't these just happen! I'm really really am getting bogged down with planning, and never feel like I am getting to grips with it. How long has it taken for you guys to get to grips with planning. Just need to see some light at the end of this tunnel.

Desperate Plea For Help!

Hi there everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has any great and slightly different ideas that i may be able to use/ adapt for my observed literacy sessions tomorrow??? my objective will hopefully be around letter sounds... My top group are currently learning cvc words and are learning the ch and sh sounds. The middle ones are quite good with letter sounds and was thinking of doing somethin ryhming based? and the bottom ones are solely looking at letter recognition and some initial sounds. I would like to be able to do one of these activities outdoors if possible and just wondering if anyone has done or perhaps has any ideas for what i could do?…
