Hi there! Just a quick question! Getting a little worried about my long term/medium-term planning. Do you stick to one ELG each 1/2 term for CD, KUW, PSE and PD for your focused activities? I have planned to cover a few each 1/2 term and re-visit them through the year. I also cover many ELGs each 1/2 term through my continuous provision - I have noticed from other plans posted here that other people choose up to 3 ELGs to focus on in each area each 1/2 term. Just interested to hear what other people do. Thanks green hippo

Hi there everyone, I was wondering if I could see if anyone is doing a similar topic next term to me as to share ideas, planning etc rather than reinventing the wheel. I have to work alongside Year 1 but I can do my own activities so next term my topic was light and dark. I was thinking of having a roleplay in the woods with sleeping bags and torches etc to explore hibernation, light and dark etc etc. has anyone done light and dark or sound as a topic or know of any similar medium term planning i could get some initial ideas from?? thanks charlotte

Hi there, advice needed on the following!!!!!! At my school the children take home a reading book which are a mixture of ginn and oxford reading tree stories. I was thinking of basing my literacy planning this week on ORT and reading the big books and introducing the characters, looking at pictures and sentences etc. Has anyone any good ideas for some small group work i could do with the children. I have some very bright children who would perhaps enjoy some sentence strips or book making activities but also some very young children who perhaps at this stage would benefit from listening to lots of stories. Hello all, Have left this a bit late really. As it's black history month at the mo, our school are focussing on Morocco nxt wk. I'm in rec and need to inspire my little ones. I'm doing flags using diff media, cooking a simple moroccan dish and learning a rhyme but really need simple information about the place. Have looked on web but it's all a bit complex and when I add anything like word 'child' to my search I end up with stuff about orphans and homeless children! Continuous Provision Planning - Help

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. My head teacher has informed me that my planning is not detailed enough for the continous provision. At the moment I have a grid with numeracy area literacy area malleable area etc in which i write what will be in each area. She is now saying that my planning should show what key questions I am asking for every single area. In each area I do have an A4 sheet displayed with learning objectives for the sand/water which I got from here, but she says that is not enough and I need to show every day what the LO and key question is for every single area.
