Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but should the age related expectation for nursery exit be the same as for reception entry? And what do you believe it/them to be? I have been provided by something from my county that is confusing me!

Coordinating two form entry planning

Hi there, This topic may have been covered already however I couldn't find it. I am an NQT, but have been working in Early Years for about 16 years. I am currently working in a school with two form entry and finding joint planning a challenge. I just wondered how others manage this. Can it truly meet your children's needs when trying to coordinate the interests and needs of 60 children? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi! Just wondering if anyone else covers Reception PPA?( I do it as a HLTA) If you do, do you plan or work off the teacher's planning for the week? Up to now, whoever has done reception PPA in our school has followed the weekly plan from the teacher and it has worked OK. However, I am due to have a lesson observation next week and this week had Ofsted in and was observed ( fab time, Children in Need day, Friday straight after lunch!). It was OK, but could've been better and I was very conscious that I was being judged working off someone else's Planning (which was not overly impressive). Hi everyone, I am an nqt in a reception class and I would really like to improve the outdoor environment to make it more inviting and most of all engaging and a place for learning. My topic for next week is homes, buildings and families and my focus is on the outdoor environment. However I have a mental block and am really struggling for ideas. The children's objectives which i would like to cover are counting and ordering numbers, focus on their social skills as this is something alot of the children suffer with and their language so lots of group activities. I have created a construction role play area with red tape around it, tuff spots with sand and diggers in, big …

I have recently been asked for eyfs schemes of work. The problem is ... I don't have any!!! As a key stage we use the eyfs curriculum as the planning document, choosing statements that are relevant to each cohort or individual and working from there. We have a broad topic for the half term but that's it really So you lovely people out there can I ask you, schemes or no schemes? What do you do?
