Hi Everyone! I have been asked to complete a harvest assembly with my reception class in 3 weeks time, we are a church school so it must include a clear meaning of harvest. I have found a couple of scripts about the little red hen, a church mouse etc but was after something a little simpler as the children will have only been full time at school for 5 weeks by then. I have got a autumn cd from out of the ark so have got fab songs but no script to work off. any ideas would be fab Thanks xx

Hi everyone, I had a question that I wanted to check out and wondered whether anyone could help me?? I have been updating our learning journals and observation formats. If I complete a group observation is it ok to to stick them in each child's learning journal even if they have other children's names on? We do currently stick photos in with other children with them? Thanks for any advice.

Hi, Just looking for some ideas of how to report back to parents and give them some feedback at the end of the day, or how you 'handover' in your settings. we are a busy preschool, and finish at 3.15, all parents arrive at the same time, and most are in a rush to pick up siblings so it is not always possible to speak to them all individually. Also i find 'diaries' very time consuming so just looking for any alternitave ideas you may have!? Thanks in advance

Wellie Boot Storage
by Guest- 6 replies

I ahve just scared myself by the cost of racks designed to store wellies. To buy these for my children would cost £750! I need 5x30. Please - are they worth the money? We do not have a secure outside area so cannot leave boots outside. We are currently thinking of buying flexi-tubs which hold about 10 pairs each, so each class would have 3 to move in and out each day - my best solution so far. Any ideas gratefully received!

Hi everyone, Just looking for some advice really. My school currently uses target tracker in the rest of the school and would like foundation stage to use it as well to input the data each half term. Another school uses 2 simple profile and say it is great because you basically build an online profile for each child and update it with note, pictures etc using an ipad. You then match this to the data for each child saying what points they have met. This is then transferred into the half termly data. I have not used either and would appreciate it if anybody who has used either would let me know what they think as the HT has left it up to me to decide. Thankx
