Hi, has anyone had an ECERs done in Reception? Is it just to do with learning environment or do they observe you teaching? Is it more like people walking round with clipboards? Any experiences would be helpful! Thanks

Hi i,m planning on adult focus activity in the area of learning p.s.e.d to help one of my key children .who finds very hard to let others chose for themsleves what they wish to do , and who to play with .Can anyone recommend any good books that i could read to the children then i will follow on with helping the children understand that they should allow others to decide for themselves ,not keep pestering them to follow her/him . Hi everyone I just wondered if anyone was interested - I have collected together over 100 ideas for practical phonics activities in the areas of provision and linked them to Letters and Sounds phases of learning. I am going to run a couple of twilight courses in May to share my ideas and include a draft copy of my book in the course fee (£30). I am running the course at my school in Leeds and there will be opportumity to look around my Foundation Unit and talk to staff. Hi I've had a quick search of the forums but I haven't seen much about the transition between Reception and Year One. I just want some ideas of how other setting manage it. We have tried various strategies but I think it could be done better. In the past the Reception children have spent every Friday afternoon of the last half term in their new Year One classroom with their new teacher. This meant the Year One children had to spend this time in Reception effectively having Golden Time. Hi I am a childminder doing my nvq3 and my assessor has informed me that I need to have a poster up showing children their rights! I've had a search online but keep coming up with oxfam ones or ones that are not english! Does anyone know where I can get one from?
