Hi all, Well taking my second registration/circle time tomorrow and have asked the supervisor if I can build on the use of Makaton signs and symbols we have just started to use (children know good morning, sorry and listen!). We do have a little boy in that has just started using these hence why we are trying to build up everbodies involvement. I have been put down to take register one day per week (tomorrow) and thought that I could take this on board with the idea that maybe we could eventually learn the signs for eg twinkle twinkle for the nativity (or anybody else got a good xmas song???). I am at home and so do not have the phone no of our inclusion support teac…

Hi everyone, i'm stuck! I was an NQT last year and this year I have been made numeracy coordinator, so i'm really stressed going from a job with no responsibility to this new role where i'm analysing data and so on. I have been asked to update the maths SEF and I have no idea what to do, I know it is a continuous evaluation but it has not been done since 2005 so it is in rather a mess. Could anyone shed some light? Thanks all Rachel

Hi all, Haven't posted in a while but have been reading posts and sitting in the side lines! I just wondered if anyone knew if reception children are entitled to milk?? Our nursery children have milk and reception children have always had squash but I have a feeling children up to 5yrs old are entitled to milk, what do other schools do and does anyone know how I can find out for definite?? Thanks

Hi, I was hoping someone may have an idea of the TA's role in terms of NVQ3 level 2 and 3 on the payscale. My TA is fantastic and has always changed nappies, stayed for meetings supported planning etc but recently a very unhelpful govenor has commented that "if they don't like the way they are being payed then they can find the door!" This has prompted a huge uproar and they are now pointing out that they are actually being underpaid- NVQ3 level 2 (on new pay structure) when they are observing, changing nappies / children... Can a TA in Reception Class be paid lower than NVQ 3 level 3 as we have SEN children in nappies? Can she be paid as a HLTA to co…
