Help To Find An Article!
by Guest- 4 replies

Can you help? A while ago I read an article in an educational magazine(!) about encouraging children to mark-make. It suggested using the books: 'Angel Pavement' by Quetin Blake; 'the dot' by Peter H. Reynolds; 'Gregory and the magic line' by Dawn Piggot; and 'The shape game' by Anthony Browne. I vaguely remember the article mentioning activities to do using the stories. However, I cannot find the article and would like to use the books with my boys who aren't the most confident mark-makers! Can anyone remember the article and if so where can I find it?

I have a very small budget to resource my yr1 classroom next year. I know what I would want in an FS room but what do the children need in yr1. Ideally it might replicate FS but money is not that good so what should I buy?

Hello I am a bit stuck! I am having to cover the Christian creation story at the start of next week. My team has put together a plan but I am wanting to make the activities more interactive and engaging. I am planning to put together a story sack for the children to explore retelling the story, does anyone have any helpful hints for where I might find resources or even better some ideas!! Thank you Candy

Dear All, I have inherited a rather 'tired' looking home / school pack and desperately want to give it an update with engaging activities to develop fine motor (possibly PSRN + CLLD) and PSED (turn taking) skills. Does anyone know of a website or have anything I could have a look at please. Thanks Emma

Multi-cultural Day

Hello Everyone, I am the new PSHE co-ordinator at my primary school. We have a partner school in Uganda who are trying to build new classrooms for the children so we are going to hold a non-uniform day to try and raise some money to help. The School Council and I thought it might be nice to make the day a multi-cultural day where the children in school can come dressed in their own everyday clothes or in their traditional dress. I was wondering if anyone had any really good ideas about what type of activities we could do during the day to make it more fun for the children. Do you think it would be a good idea to give each class a theme/country/religion…
