   Hi everyone, hope you are all well! Im an NQT this year and in reception. My head has started to ask me to think about the children I will be teaching next year and the transition process they will receive. In the past playgroup children have come in for reading sessions and circle times, but my head wants to try something new!    We may have a dilemma in our school next year - so just wondered what you would do. Our intake for next year is likely to be small ie. two classes of 17 !!! Each class will have a full time TA - however with such small classes I have suggested that one of the TA's goes and supports Y1 in the afternoon who will have 56 children in and support these classes as there are going to be some SEN children who really will need extra support to access the curriculum. This would leave us with 1 TA and 2 teachers for 34 children in Reception - Personally I'm happy I think with this and can see the benefits for Y1 who are trying to create a more creative curriculum for their child…

   Hi, I am after some help from fellow FS teachers.... I have a PM observation next week and have decided to teach subtraction - I want to teach the strategy of counting how many are left.    I would like to introduce wow writing in my Rec class after Easter but was wondering how other people organise it, or could share a few ideas. Up until this point we have had lively discussions and chidlren have contributed by giving me a wow word and the words have been put on our 'wow word' wall.    Hello all, I have been invited for an early years interview where I have to do a short presentation on my visualization of "Outstanding Early Years Provision". I am really excited about this and have lots of ideas but was wondering what other people's advice might be. Do you think it is a good idea to take photographs of work/children to exemplify ideas?    I am the Foundation Stage coordinator in an International School that follows the British curriculum. The push from our Primary school literacy coordinator/KS1 teachers is to have our reception children's writing targets written down on card that the children should have in front of them when involved in a directed writing task, as currently happens in Y1. Myself and several of our staff team feel that the teacher verbally discussing the targets is more appropiatel - any comments?
