...our visit by the Ofsted inspection team, but the letter went out to parents yesterday to tell them that we got a 1 in everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An outstanding school. I was at the debriefing meeting, (the whole SLT was invited by the inspectors) and the chief inspector said "in Ofsted terms it doesn't get any better". Obviously all the hard work has to continue but I'm so pleased for everyone in the school, we're a great team. The downside is that we've already been told that we'll be getting lots of visitors coming round now and that our Head will get headhunted, and she's brilliant to work for. At last I could officially tell you lot!

Hi I know there has been lots of discussion on information received from nursery's and pre-schools when children transfer to school..... However I am in the situation where we receive hardly any information on the children as reports etc go to parents and we rarely get to see them. I have been asked by my head to put together a simple sheet to go to the pre-schools for them to fill in about the children that are coming to us in September. It needs to focus mainly on PSED. Does anyone have something like this they use? I have thought about sending just the first three points of the PSED profile and a comments box.... but wondered if anyone had anything bett…

Hi all, I'm after some ideas and advice for our free flow in our reception classses in the afternoons. There are 2 classes of 30 children each, and we have our own (classroom sized) activity bay and outside playground, and a TA each. Until now we have only had 30 children in total in in the afternoons as the other 30 went home at lunch time. This meant that we opened all 4 areas, member of staff in each, and children had complete choice of where to go and when. Now all 60 are full time we feel that we will have to limit numbers in each area for safety. Last year at this time of year we asked the children to choose where they wanted to work and then they stayed there …
