Hi just wondering if anyone could help? Doing a presentation about early writing and the stages of how writing develops from emergent writing. Does any one have any inspirational quotes or poems etc about writing that I could use to as a starting point for my presentation? Or any inspirational info on developing early writing? Thanks xx

hi I wonder if any one can advise me ,i have been asked to sign blank training sheets. I usually have to fill thease out when i am attending the course by course provideron the day. I never had to fill out for my employer and am worried that they will fill out courses saying i been on when i have not as they dont want me to have training as i been looking for another job and they found out as was asked for refference lust to attend interview. i very worried what to do as they are always trying to pull a fast one, the said the forms are for their files.

Hi, I have just returned from my second GTP placement, (which went really well) anyway some of the children are doing the ELS programme and working with a TA from 8:45 until around 9:30. Whilst they are doing this the other children are doing a variety of settling activities and then register etc Then the teacher i am working alongside does phonics until the ELS bunch come back when she starts the literacy imput. This means the children have been sitting on the carpet or at a table for upto 50 minutes (bar a bit of brain gym) before starting their activity I am concerned on two accounts, first for those children doing ELS who have a very busy start to the da…

The children in my class want to say a big thank you for the phonics sheet you shared. It is helping tremendously with their emergent writing. I'm sure I read on here somewhere that you also have one for the 2-letter phonemes - if you could share that too we would be thrilled (and I'm sure a lot of others would be too!) Cheers, Neddaw

Hi... hope you all had / are having a good half-term... i'm back in tomorrow so thought i'd better spare a thought to what i'm doing this week... anyhow, we're doing length and as 'Measures' is our whole-school focus we always invite parents in to see what kind of things we do... and I want to make sure that there's plenty for everyone to be doing... and so I thought I'd check on here and dip into this rich fountain of brillaint ideas that everyone always seems to have... any good ideas for doing length?
