I have recently started a cookery club for Years 1 and 2 children in my promary school. However the school has Healthy Eating status and am running out of ideas for recipes. Have done fruit kebabs and all the obvious ones and am struggling now. Does anyone know of a good cookbook for Kids with Healthy Recipes??? I started this club in at the beginning of term after lots of my new children and parents have been entering my classroom in the mornings telling me how much they don't like their new class etc. Some of the kids are even refusing to eat their dinners at school cause they are that upset. Lesson Obs On Guided Writing !

Help! My head handed me today a lesson observation format based on guided writing for my performance management . She did kindly (!) say she realised the children had only been in school a few weeks but would still like to see a lesson based on writing. The lesson obs format is being used for the rest of the school and includes intro - 5 mins- Beginning which is to include text/ word sentence work and middle which includes individual work. Now she did say she recognised this format wasn't maybe that applicable and may use something more foundation based (!) plus we have to alter our timetable to fit it in - so now i'm in a bit of a flap. Does anyone have these posts or similar in their settings? How do you assign job roles and descriptions to the posts without stepping on toes if you know what I mean. I suppose what I am really saying how much time does a manager have for office work or should they be not expected to do this part of the job? Is an admin officer a help or hindrence?

Vandals Have Picked And Stamped On All Our Apples....

Just got to school and the whole playground was littered with stamped on apples.I burst into tears which is not me at all.My class planted the the 2 trees 2 years ago and this year we had a bout 40 apples on each.On Monday we went to see if they were ready and I picked one from each we chopped them up and saw the pips were brown had a little taste of the two varieties and said we would wait another week.I am so cross...and disappointed for the children.
