As part of her interview she has to read a story with a clear moral to either: a) a group of reception children or a group of year 1 children I would appreciate some more suggestions, to the ones I have offered already! hello everyone this is my first posting, so if i get it wrong am sorry. i need some help with an assignment i am crrently doing as part of the Foundation stage degree. the focus for my essay is, which elemnts and approaches of the montessori curr' are relevant to the foundation stage? have started with freedom of choice, hands on learning, providing the right enviroment. any further ideas would be very welcome.

Can any one advise me as to what the adult:child ratio is when taking children aged 3 and 4 years out of school. We have a trip to the farm planned and I was told that the ratio will be 1:5! I am not happy with this I think it's too many children to supervise in a public place and I think it's unfair of us to ask parents to look after this many children. I don't feel confident that I will be able to keep all five children close and safe. I'm really worried about the trip some of the children are first termers and haven't been in nursery long they are quite young and don't yet understand things like saftey and not running off. We are visiting the farm on our school trip soon and I was wondering if you give your children a task to do when there? This will be my first ever school trip as I'm an NQT so I'm feeling a little nervous. Our topic is journeys but I wanted to do some work on animals and their babies and the products animals give. hi, as I have mentioned on other posts I am still training on a GTP but qualify in a couple of weeks (hopefully) and I have already been offered the job to work in reception/ year 1 class in september. Basically as it is now is horrible. We vaguely do Foundation Stage and base planning on the FS curriculum but our classroom is not set up for it at all (no areas etc). We have only in the last month or so set up observations and a folder to document the childrens learning bacause I did this off my own back once I realised how important it was to be doing!! Hi, Im currently doing the GTP hoping to qualify in a couple of weeks and one of the requirements is to have a subject specialiam and develop a file documenting this. My subject specialism is science and being based in FS i have focused on KUW. I have recently begun to look at the transition into KS1 and what is covered in this curriculum in science. I will also have to teach science to pupils in KS1 and KS2 next year. Was just wondering if there was something that documented the links between FS KUW and KS1 science, or whether anyone had done that themselves? Any help would be very much appreciated. thanks jo
