Chinese Outfits

Just thought I'd let you know I have just bought some little girl Chinese outfits in the Asda sale for £5 each. They are lovely and even have a fan. They only had aged 3-4 (great for me) and they had quite a lot in my local store. Just the thing for my Chinese New Year role play. Now where can I get some boys outfits for the same price?

Share Meeting

Hi I'm starting up a new Share project in 2 weeks time and have 8 parents who are interested in coming. Share is about encouraging parents to be more involved in their child's learning. The idea is that parents attend sessions (about once every 2 weeks) largely led by a member of staff where ideas are shared about how children learn and good ways of going about doing this. The sessions take place during school time and last about 1/2 to 1 hour. The hope is that the parents will enjoy the sessions and feel free to contribute and finally come up with their own ideas. The parents can go onto to do accreditations if they want to and so develop their own learning. I'm sta…

Literacy

Hi Does anyone follow the Literacy Planning CD Rom available from: http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/primary/p...iteracy/972205/ It is generally set out for each term and shows what text type to follow. It also uses the 'Developing Early Writing' Units which are very good, especially for your higher ability children. I was just interested to know what others thought of the CD Rom, or whether you follow certain schemes for Literacy when you have completed the Jolly Phonics Programme. Here is an example of the planning on the CD Rom: Reception_Literacy_Medium_Term_Plans.pdf

Role Play Area

Hi I know this topic has been touched on before but I wondered if anyone had any further ideas for activities to develop in an estate agents, resources to equip the area and experiences to share. Thanks for any help! I've never done an estate agents before but I think it's nice to try new role play areas. As a matter of interest do you generally change the role play area to fit in with a new topic or more often? Thanks for any useful suggestions.
