Hi, I'm currently doing the foundation degree and need to know what data and information is kept on the INDIVIDUAL child. This goes from early years to key stage 1. Have got as much as I can think of, SATs etc but I know there must be loads more. Any help? Thanks

Can Anyone Help Me With Display?

Had an ofsted inspector in my classroom the other week and was told (after report came and not at time) that my displays were unsatisfactory. As we are expecting ofsted at anytime i'm in a bit of a panic. Has anyone got any pictures of any effective displays that they have done? Need some displays that could be kept up....got a birthday cake on wall which children have written their name on cardboard candle. Any help would be appreciated!

just wondered what others do in their school - last year my school implemented joined up handwriting from foundation stage to ks2, this means that when we teach letter formation we have to teach always from the line and the lead in strokes and the lead out.... I can see the benefits for later on, but sometimes, particularly with children who have very poor fine motor skills it seems like another hurdle for them.... Also, we have to use the style when writing in the childrens books / work, this takes ages as we are using the correct letter formation but not joining up because the children are not joining....... i don't know whether what i am doing is right or…

I was hoping you guys could lend a hand. An incident has occurred at work which has resulted in my Head saying that the way he now needs to deal with it on my behalf is to have a meeting with myself, the person involved (SMT) and himself, to discuss issues we've already spoken about, but so that he is a part of them - and probably so he can make official notes etc etc. I'm really nervous but I know it is the only way forward.
