Some time ago on here we had a definative statment about staff who have old NNEB's begin able to be Level Three TA's. Can someone point me back to it as my NNEB is very upset to have been told that she can only be a Level two? I am sure that some ruling applied as long as they have kept their training up to date- which she has one hundred fold.

struggling with insomnia - just note the time!! Got the sand tray on my mind of all things! Do any of you have any really creative ideas for developing the sandtray? (I have a large indoor one and a couple of outdoor ones- just the plastic ELC kind with lids ) I do mixture of wet and dry sand, exchanging it for compost, rice, and pasta at various times but I really feel I am lacking creativity. I need a shot of inspiration I think (and maybe the odd sleeping tablet )

Info/records To Go To School

Hi, I've been asked to write a brief summation of the children that are moving onto reception, it is to be given directly to the reception teacher. The previous supervisor did this last year. I do not feel this is right at all. For one how a child is in the Pre-school may not in fact be the case at reception, I do not want to label that child. Preconcieved ideas etc. Moreover, isn't it incorrect to pass info onto anyone but that child's parents somehow breaching confidenciality/data protection. Am I overreacting? Angie

Hi guys, I haven't got an inspection looming but it has been mentioned a lot today and it's got me thinking about what I need and what happens. At the moment we have no early years co-ordinator, just me and the nursery nurse oversee the nursery and reception. I'm not worried, just interested in peoples experiences and really what an inspection involves. Everyones tip-toeing around the subject at school! Thanks

Problems With New Equipment

Hi everyone, I've been in the fortunate position of setting up a foundation stage almost from scratch with a generous allowance. It still won't get me everything I would like to see but we've got lots to build on now. Anyway I digress- While I've been ordering things I've been appalled at the price of some things you can get cheaper in the local shops. I've also had real problems with some items that have taken me ages to sort out It took me 5 attempts to get a simple Kinder type book trolley No 1.- dropped and broken before it reached me. No 2. castors supplied but when screwed on with ones supplied, screws came through the bottom- very …

Hands

Hi all, I have decided to do a whole school display of hands, using every child in the school. These will just be cut out of coloured paper and displayed as peacocks tails.( Smaller peacocks for foundation sized hands, larger as we go up school stages.) We are then going to make the peacocks bodies using Modroc and glue bright lining silk over them etc. What I need to find are some quotes, verses or ANYTHING related to hands. Kind of along the lines of all working together etc: If anyone has anything can you post them? I hope this makes sense thanks
