Having spent a good deal of time moaning about my situation, I finally took a great deal of comfort from your advice and shoulders - so much so that I kicked myself into gear and applied for a new job! I went for a look around and was blown away at the emphasis this new school put on its FS. I applied not expecting anything - apart from hopefully rocking the boat for the better at my place! Found out today that I've been shortlisted and am now on the cadge for your oh so masterful and wordly advice! It's for a FS co's job and I really want to impress - as anyone else would! Was hoping whether anyone can give me any insight into what types of questions/group act…

Hi there! Hope you all enjoyed your easter break-my school starts back on monday and as usual the easter break flew by!! Next week i am teaching my reception class about natural things in the sky-sun, clouds etc. Was wondering if anyone has tried any simple investigations to do with rain/clouds etc with your class and how it went? Does anyone have any craft ideas to do with the weather too? Also thought about aerial views-do you think this will be difficult to teach?? Thanks! Hi everyone, I just have to get this of my chest! After yet another treck to IKEA last weekend I am feeling rather miffed with the whole resource situation in our 3 Reception Classes. It is my first year in my school and I have found that after many turbulant years and misspending we have a very under resourced foundation stage. The final straw came when I went into school yesterday after my Nursery Nurse kindly donated a morning of her time to do displays to find that the only colours left in the whole school to do our 'spring' topic display boards in was brown or red backing (red has been banned by my head) and purple edging. Am I the only person to admit to having watched and enjoyed some of the stuff on teachers TV? I thought some of you might be interested but this saturday there is a block just for early years about outdoor play and play. I caught one of these before and wished in retrospect i had recorded it for future use, perhaps showing clips to parents etc... Does this mean i have to handwrite in the box or can i still include a letter of application. Just not sure if they are the same thing?
