Hi I am very interested in how people set up their classrooms. At the moment we have all the usual areas of the classroom and resource these areas on a weekly/ half termly basis (but are still flexible) according to needs/ interests of the children. 'writing In Nursery'
by Guest- 16 replies

Hello I need a bit of clarification on a dispute that we are having in my early years setting. How frequently should chdn in nursery have access to mark making/writing?And how regularly should they take part in shared writing situations? I personally feel there should be specified area for mark making available all the time, along with weekly adult supported activities. Also do people start teaching phonics in the chdns first term or leave it later? Please help I would love to know what you do? Thanks Jacqui PS does anyone know how to get rid of my stupid 'Fernando71' name?

I wonder if anyone has any good ideas - I want to make tiles with flowers on them as part of the growth theme. However we do not have any clay in school - has anyone got any good ideas or recipes for a clay substitute? The flower needs to be attached to the tile, which can be done with water when working with clay. Thanks

Hi! I am a new member and would like some advice on how people orgnaise their day/ week? Browsing through peoples planning it seems that daily numeracy and literacy are happening?
