Hi all!! Was hoping that someone would be able to help/lend a hand? I'm looking to apply for a TLR position as Early Years Coordinator/Foundation Stage Leader in a new school and wondered whether anyone had any advice or an example of a typical supporting letter you would send to the school? I haven't done one since applying for my job as an NQT so a little but out of practice!! Many thanks

Hi, I am in desperate need of advice and pointers. I have been out of teaching for 4 years as I had a baby and she had medical problems which meant with constant hospital appointments I couldn't teach. Now after her operations have all stopped I am hoping to return to teaching. I cannot find the information about the change in the Early Years in the past four years anywhere and am hoping someone will know titles of publications from the Government that covers any strategies and change in assessment etc... if there are any. I have been surfing the net and keep getting unrelated information to what I type in. Hope you can help Dawn

He has asked us to make a list of 6-10 books or poems that the chidlren in reception should be able to learn. I know the traditional stories, nursery rhymes and books with repetivite phrases are important but I was wondering if there were any suggestions. I have thought of at least 20 i could put on the list. Any suggestions??

If as a year one teacher you assess in october a a child still attaining on the profile how do you track progress across year one. for example. if a child is attaining in october 4 on the profile in writing for example, and then they acheive 1c at the end of year one how do you measure this as progress? when they get into levels you can say they have made 2 sub levels progress or whatever, but how do you describe the progress made from profile to NC?
