I am ask for your help really to see if your LA has a specific policy on adoption leave and adoption pay for teachers. To cut a very long story short, my husband and I are going through the adoption process and I have discovered that my LA (Derby City) doesn't have a specific policy for teachers. This means I will have to plead with my governors for similar adoption pay as someone on maternity leave. As you can imagine I am not very happy about this because I feel discriminated against. I want to challenge my LA about this and would like to write down the amount of LA's which have a specific policy to strengthen my case. I would be most grateful if any…

Hello, I am going to be returning to my favourite role after the summer hols........Nursery teacher!!! I work in a foundation unit in a primary school ......money is tight and we have been told where we'll be after summer and the TA's have been moved too. The lady who is due to work with me is only paid at level two................I beleive that the level should be three by law ........am I right??? Can anyone help???? The lady who was in nursery is moving to reception ...she is paid at level three Thanks

Hi all, have recently been through my suitability interview of which i passed and am now suitable. There was a question about risk assessments. We do a daily and yearly one but she said that if she was doing an inspection she wuld expect to see one for local outings such as our library and infant school visit, does anyone do these and what or how do you do them. any help greatly appreciated.
