Tracking Sheets For Learning Diaries

Hi all, I have recently seen but can't remember where some tracking sheets for each area of learning for myself and my team to be able to highlight when we have observed a child achieving this. We want to use it so that we can see there is enough evidence to give a child a profile point but more importantly we can see what experiences we need that child to have. Hoping this makes sense. Thanks Jo

Thought this link might be useful to people who like me didn't know they existed until very recently http://naa.org.uk/naa_19382.aspx It should take you to a set of exemplary clips with voiceovers and lists of profile points covered to support the Foundation Stage profile.

Hi could anyone help me please. Can anyone tell me what a child has to be able to do to acheive a level 2 in writing. Do they have to be able to write their own name or do they have to be able to give meaning to the marks they make? thanks 0258 x

Hello all! A quick question... I understand that the EYFS document has 'ages and stages' (22 - 36 months etc..) but how do these relate to the profile points on the large overview poster showing the areas of learning and the 1-9 points down the side? I'm probably not communicating my confusion very clearly but it has been a heavy week!! Do the 'ages and stages' correspond to the 1-9 points? Any help gratefully received!

Do You Have To Have Evidence?
by Guest- 12 replies

Hi all We initially get the parents to fill in all about me, interests etc form on starting the setting. Our LEA has given us a profile that is split into the same age bands as the practice guidance which we have to fill in with our obs and next steps etc. We also have our scrapbooks which we fill with photos, the postit obs and any examples of work we can. We then reference the scrapbook eg photo 1 or post it 10 or work 5 as evidence. But what about if we know a child is capable of doing something or more than likely the parent knows their child is capable are they allowed to highlight it in the learning journal without providing evidence? I think we should be able to …

Hi I'm new to posting so I hope this works! I'm an NQT although have had a lot of experience working with EYFS children. In my new school there seems to be issues over when we say the children achieve a point. Some teachers give the child the point when thet have seen the evidence once and others say when they have seen the child demonstrate it independently and in 3 different contexts. Does anyone know the 'official' guidelines about this? I can't seem to find anything written down in the guides. Thanks
