Hi, I work for a pre school overseas, we follow the foundation stage but don't have to do all the paperwork i see you all do- no idea when you have the time to do it. I would be really interested to see the child profiles you do for reception age children, any info and examples would be great if any one could help. Thx

Super Scales

Has anyone else heard about the SUPER SCALES? On my moderation afternoon they showed us a list of the super scales for example in LCT and LSL point 7 is a super scale. This was flashed up at the end of the afternoon (brain had become dazed and confused by this point) and i wrote something down along the lines of, if they get these super scale points they are ready for KS1 curriculum. Did I hear that right?

Hi I want to analyse last years profile results (late I know!) and compare them to other schools in my area. I have tired looking on a site recommended by the LEA but I can’t find the info I need. What are others doing to ensure that they are keeping on track? Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Thanks R

'Begin to break the flow of speech into words' - can anyone shed any light on what this actually means? It's in the writing section of CLL and my mind is just blank. What would this look like?

My LA is changing how it does moderation this year and we are no longer discussing individual children we are discussing evidence for the points! Has any other LA worked like this? If so do you take evidence for all of CLL and CD so evidence for 45 points? Do any LAs just chose some points? I'd be interested to hear as I still think the whole thing can becme cumbersome!

End Of Year Info From Nurseries
by Guest- 7 replies

I think this question has been asked before but I cant find the answer. How much info do reception teachers collect from nurseries etc and in what format? I have been told that I should give the nurseries points 1-3 on the profile to assess their children against and that is all. Is this what everyone else is doing? Thanks, as always, for your help. R

Foundation Stage Profiles

I am confused. I have been asked by my head to complete the entry assessment profiles for my reception children. I thought that children had 1 point for each area achieved. However, when I looked at the data for last years children, (not completed by me) I could see that some had gained 13 for creative development. Can anyone help?
