by Guest- 4 replies

Hi everyone, I am about to start the yearly task of reports. This is my first time in Nursery for many years and have to do reports for both N2 (going up to reception) and N1 children, does anyone have a bank of comments etc they could share to ease the load, I have some for reception and I suppose I could adapt these but just asking. Thanks Denise

Does anyone have any advise as to which one to pick - we are looking at 2buildaprofile, tapestry, target tracker (although we've heard negatives about this one). Ideally we would like profile and the ability to manipulate data. Thanks in anticipation (my first post!!)

Hello All. I am doing my Masters dissertation on the workload/motivation etc in Reception classes with a particular emphasis on the Profile. I have looked through the forum and I am not finding many comments about people's feelings or reactions to it. Could anyone point me in the right direction or indeed add any comments about your feelings of the profile now and in the past. I am keen to know about workload including moderation visits. How headteachers and year one teachers use the data etc etc.... How useful do you find the results and process of collecting the data. It is more your feelings about the whole process that I am interested in i.e. positive and nega…

I am currently trying to carry out a 2 year old check. The child is 28 months and is developmentally ok in all areas but does walk on tip-toes. Should this be included in the check? Would you recommend that they see the health visitor?

He is never going to achieve some of the development matters statements for Physical Development, such as jumping and landing appropriately (40-60) mounting stairs (30-50) or running skilfully (30-50). The profile handbook says to record am emerging judgment and the end of the year for those children whose learning and development does not yet meet the description of the level expected at the end of the EYFS, implying a developmental delay and something they are working towards. For children in this situation, it is not that they don't yet …
