Hi everyone, I wonder if someone could give me some advice please. One of our feeder Nurseries has contacted me with regards to transition profiles for next year. They have just been on the first Training Session for the new EYFS Document and have been told that they should not use the profile booklets which they have been using up to now. Consequently, they are in a bit of muddle as to what kind of records they need to send up to school. We have arranged to meet after Christmas to discuss various possibilities - has anyone got any good ideas or suggestions of what they are going to be doing in their own settings. Thanks

Am I being really thick? When looking in the document birth to 5, foundation stage curriculum. I looked at the 'early learning goals' .. are they the same as the 1-9 points in e profile? I am totally confused and new to foundation stage. Any help appreciated.

Hello, my first post but i've really enjoyed looking through the site, its really useful. Was just wondering if anyone had any sheets with all the points for each area on for putting up in the classroom as a reference for me and TAs and also for sticking post it assessments on. It will save me a big job of typing them all out! Thanks

Hi there, I apologise if this has already been asked in a previous forum! I use the e profile system which records the childrens progress for me and am happy with this. I was just wondering how people keep track of how much evidence is kept in each childs profile and how you make sure there arent any huge gaps. For example at the end of the summer term some of my children had loads of evidence for CLL and MD but lacked evidence / obs or photos for KUW and PD. How do you keep track that the profile is reflective of all six areas? Hi everyone, apologies if this has already been discussed and also probably a basic question... I'm an NQT in a mixed FS and Year 1 class. I've just put my entry assessments onto the EProfile and am confused on two things... 1) Do the children have to complete the stepping stones in order (surely not??) For example I have a child who can't dress and undress independently DA 4 but can select activities and resources independently DA5, this confuses me. 2) Also I have been working on the basis that we need to observe the child display the objective 3 times before i can say they are at that level, what if i've observed the child 3 times but i don't have actual obse…

I am about to go into my second year of teaching and I have Year R....Yippee. I seem to remember last year seeing all the FSP points on 1 piece of paper which could then be higlighted as children achieved them....however I can't find it again and also was wondering if there are new points with the new framework....can anybody help me. Just trying to find an easy way of tracking my evidence etc for FSP
